Brief Description
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a leading Public Sector Bank, invites online applications for the engagement of 750 apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This is a one-year training program with vacancies across various states in India. The selection will be based on an online examination. Interested candidates must register on the NATS or NAPS portal before applying for this program.

Note: All fees are inclusive of 18% GST. The fee is non-refundable.
Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)
Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years for General/EWS candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines.

Eligibility & Stipend
Educational Qualification
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university.
- The graduation result must have been declared between 01/04/2021 and 01/08/2025.
- Candidates with training or job experience of one year or more after graduation are not eligible.
Monthly Stipend
- Metro Branches: ₹15,000/-
- Urban Branches: ₹12,000/-
- Semi-Urban / Rural Branches: ₹10,000/-
Selection Process
Exam and Language Test
- Online Examination: An objective-type test of 100 questions for 100 marks, with a duration of 90 minutes. The test covers Financial Awareness, English, Quantitative/Reasoning Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge.
- Test of Local Language: Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking) in a local language of the state they apply for. A language proficiency test will be conducted after the online exam.
- Final selection will be based on merit in the online exam, subject to qualifying the language test and document verification.

- Note down your NATS/NAPS Enrolment Number.
- Visit www.bfsissc.com, go to the "Career Opportunities" page, and complete the online application for the "IOB Apprenticeship Program FY 2025-26".
- Candidates can apply for an apprenticeship in only ONE State/UT.
- Eligible candidates will receive an email from BFSI SSC to make the online payment.
- Complete the payment to finalize your application.

6. Where will the online exam be conducted?

7. What is the leave policy for apprentices?
An apprentice is entitled to one day of casual leave per month, which totals 12 days for the year. No other type of leave is applicable.
8. Do I need to take the local language test if I studied the language in school?
No. Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate as evidence of having studied the specified local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
9. Is the stipend the same for all locations?
No, the stipend varies based on the branch category: ₹15,000/- for Metro, ₹12,000/- for Urban, and ₹10,000/- for Semi-Urban / Rural branches per month.
